Working Together
Service in your kitchen is designed to be straightforward and consistent, so meals are handled without adding complexity to your week. Every chef is a little different; the following should give you a sense of how I work, so you feel comfortable and know what to expect.
Getting Started
We begin with a conversation about your household—how you eat, what’s working for you, and what isn’t.
I’ll schedule a visit to spend some time with you in your kitchen so I can see how the space is set up and talk through details like available storage, equipment, your preferences, and how a service day will flow in practice. It’s a practical step that helps everything run smoothly from the start.
Most households find this helpful, and it gives us a chance to align expectations before anything begins.
We’ll schedule the first service day of a short trial period and discuss menus. The trial period is an important part of onboarding a new household, allowing time to settle into your kitchen and refine the details that make the service feel seamless.
Pre-Service Day
Shopping is handled in advance, with an eye toward quality, seasonality, and what works best for the plan that week. The goal is not just quality ingredients, but the right ingredients for your household.
Service Day
Each service day is structured and focused, with the goal of preparing meals in a single, cohesive stretch.
I begin by picking up all groceries before I arrive.
Once there, I spend a substantial, focused block of time in the kitchen. Ingredients are prepped, dishes are cooked, and meals are organized for easy use throughout the week.
At the end of the day, the kitchen is reset, with everything in place for what comes next.
The time in your kitchen is dedicated to cooking and meal preparation, so the work stays focused and the meals themselves receive full attention.
Ongoing Rhythm
Service settles into a regular rhythm during the trial period. Once established, menus are planned, shopping is handled, and each visit builds on what I’ve learned from the last.
Over time, the process becomes more efficient and more tailored as your kitchen and preferences become familiar.
If this approach to working together sounds like a good fit, the next step is simply to start a conversation.
